Stewart M. Presser
Bluemark is pleased to add Stewart Presser as a Strategic Advisor. In this capacity Stewart will help the Leadership Team with defining the company's overall business strategy and product roadmap. Stewart will also share his deep expertise in both the audit and compliance field and patient financial services field. Most recently Stewart was Vice President of Health Finance and Member Services with the Greater New York Hospital Association, a trade association representing more than 140 not-for-profit hospitals in the metropolitan area and throughout the State. He retired from GNYHA after 26 years.
During his long career with GNYHA he was responsible for advocacy on behalf of the member hospitals in the areas of health finance, accounts receivable management, Medicaid eligibility issues, and the Administrative Simplification transactions sets under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. Over the years, Stewart has made numerous presentations to national organizations on various health finance topics including Charity Care, and the Medicare Audit Recovery Contractor program. Stewart has also served on various workgroups and committees with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
Stewart holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from New York University and has taught health finance as an adjunct professor at NYU's Wagner School of Public Service.
