MAPSng: Strategic Clients

  • Iroquois Healthcare Alliance- The Iroquois Healthcare Alliance (a division of the Iroquois Hospital Association) has used a customized version of MAPS to support the Health Worker Initiative sponsored by the NY State Department of Health. In addition to this screening and enrollment process, MAPS was also utilized to assess potential eligibility for a full array of medical assistance programs such as Medicaid, CHIP, etc.
  • United Iroquois Shared Services, Inc. (UISS) is the for-profit division of the Iroquois Healthcare Alliance (IHA), focusing on group purchasing and shared services activities that concentrate on reducing operating costs and enhancing operational performance for more than 400 hospitals, nursing homes, HMOs, surgery centers, physician groups, and other health care providers in Upstate New York

  • Greater NY Hospital Association: Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA), founded in 1904, is a one-of-a-kind trade association comprising nearly 300 hospitals and continuing care facilities, both voluntary and public, in the metropolitan New York area and throughout the State, as well as New Jersey, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. Over the years, with the help of our members, we have redefined what a trade association is and should be, and have created a dynamic center for discussion and collective advocacy.
  • The issues faced by GNYHA’s member hospitals are numerous and complex—and they transcend State borders.   • GHI (Generations Healthcare Initiatives)/Twin Ports Health Care Access: In 2004, Generations, health care providers, community and government organizations for the Twin Ports Health Access Program (TPHAP_. The Program strives to expand access to health care services to the uninsured and underinsured population. The Program focuses on two strategies:
    • Eligibility Screening and Enrollment in availabla Health Coverage Programs - Those who may be eligible are referred to the Lake Superior Community Health Center's Health Care Access Office for information on programs and assistance in completing the application process. Hospitals, clinics and community organizations in the Twin Ports area and have access to screening tool and electronically refer uninsured persons to the Health Care Access Office for follow-up.
    • Development of a New Local Health Coverage Programs - Many uninsured people do not qualify for public health assistance programs. For some, their income marginally exceeds the poverty guidelines. In fact, 75% of the uninsured are working adults and most work full-time. Generations is collaborating with health care and businesses leaders to develop a unique, local health coverage program for those below 300% of the federal poverty guidelines.
