About RealBenefits

RealBenefits is a national web-based information service and toolset that provides human service, and other private and public sector organizations with the capacity to perform sophisticated eligibility screening, counseling and advocacy for eligible low income families. Users enter information about income, assets, and household characteristics. The toolset then tests eligibility for multiple benefit programs, calculates any potential benefit amount and generates completed applications ready for filing with the appropriate state agency. (For some programs in some states, electronic filing is possible.)

RealBenefits provides organizations with a flexible and easy to use “one-stop shop” benefit access service. Staff or volunteers can be trained in a few sessions, making them experts in public benefits. With its unique ability to both pre-screen for benefits and generate applications, RealBenefits closes the gap between information and referral and receipt of benefit.
